SWEENEY TODD, THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET

Friday Sept. 28 at 7:30PM and Sunday Sept. 30 at 2:00PM Nevada Opera Presents "Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Reno NV. I am thrilled to be cast in the fabulous leading role of Mrs. Lovett, the cheery and chatty but amoral pie-shop owner and Todd's landlady, though she wants to be much more! This is a character I played almost 30 years ago in college (Univ. of Nevada-Reno) and I hope to have as much fun and as big a challenge as I had back then! With a 32-piece orchestra, the full Nevada Opera chorus, and talented local and imported actors, the New York director will surely have audiences on the edge of their seats!
