I will be performing a special benefit jazz concert with my trio at the beautiful Nightingale Concert Hall on the University of Nevada campus on Tuesday May 11 at 7:30. Doors open at 6:30 with a Silent Auction in the Gallery lobby. This concert is to help raise funds for the THREE Reno vocal groups going to Shoaxing, China this summer for the 2010 World Choir Games: McQueen High School Core Jazz Choir, Bella Voce, and Sierra Nevada Children's Choir. My hometown Reno has been chosen to be the host city for the 2011 festival, so we NEED to get them to China to represent Reno this summer.... hence the title "Reno-Tahoe Choral Ambassadors." http://www.interkultur.com/competitions-festivals/world-choir-games/

Funds for this "once-in-a-lifetime" experience must be paid by May 13 to cover travel, room and board and tuition costs, so this concert is a much-needed rally to that end.

I'm thrilled to share the stage with Peter Supersano on grand piano, Hans Halt on bass and Steve Self on drums; also the McQueen Jazz Choir and I will do some songs together. After the concert there will be a ticketed reception to meet... well, me - the artist!.. and some of the singers planning on going to China.
