Philip G. Smith is going back to Maui for more magnificent mana, and I have been asked to fill in again with his fantastic trio of Tom Shader (bass) Ross Gualco (piano) and Kendrick Freeman(drums). We had such a great time in January - can;t wait to do it again! Not only are these guys excellent musicians, but they also sing harmonies like nobody's business - all arranged by Mr. Shader. We sing things like CHOO CHOO CHA BOOGIE, WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MADE, MOOD INDIGO, I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU, SEND FOR ME, DINDI, CENTERPIECE, etc. I brought these wonderful players with me to the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee this summer, and we had a ball!
So grab a friend or a dance partner and enjoy one of the best nights out in the wine country - excellent Italian food, an amazing wine list, terrific musicians, and your truly = ever-so-grateful to get to do what I love to do with people I love and admire! Uva offers live music six nights a week at no cover charge, with standard performances Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Bar is open until Midnight with small plate offerings Friday and Saturday. Support local music!
