While the delightful saxman Philip G. Smith is on vacation, I have been asked to fill in one night with his fantastic trio of Tom Shader (bass) Ross Gualco (piano) and Kendrick Freeman(drums). Not only are these guys excellent musicians, but they also sing harmonies like nobody's business - all arranged by Mr. Shader. We sing things like CHOO CHOO CHA BOOGIE, WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MADE, MOOD INDIGO, I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU, SEND FOR ME, DINDI, CENTERPIECE, etc. I brought these wonderful players with me to the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee this summer, and we had a ball!
So grab a friend or a dance partner and enjoy one of the best nights out in the wine country - excellent Italian food, an amazing wine list, terrific musicians, and your truly = ever-so-grateful to get to do what I love to do with people I love and admire!
