AAUW Annual Fundraiser
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada, 780 Del Monte Lane, Reno, NV
You are invited to a wonderful community event - the annual fundraiser for the American Association of University Women, a national organization that promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, scholarships, and positive societal change.
Cami has been performing for this event for over 5 years, and with her pianist Peter Supersano, entertains the crowd with delightful songs from the Great American Songbook and beyond. Cami also serves double duty at the event - she performs as our auctioneer with her unique style of musical improvisation for each item. There is also a silent auction with one-of-a-kind art pieces, unusual jewelry, gift baskets and special services. This is a delightful Sunday afternoon with old friends and new acquaintances, music, wine, snacks and fun!
With more than 100,000 college graduates, 1,300 branches, and 600 institutions, AAUW is the nation's leading advocate for education and equity for women and girls. Our commitment to these issues is reflected by our activism.
AAUW is composed of three corporations.
The Association, a 150,000-member organization with more than 1,500 branches nationwide, that lobbies and advocates for education and equity.
The AAUW Educational Foundation funds pioneering research on the educational experiences of girls and womenand provides fellowships and grants to women scholars, and girls around the globe.
The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, which provides funds and a support system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination in higher education.
