I've been asked to perform in the annual Artown Summer Jazz Series sponsored by Reno's jazz society, "FOR THE LOVE OF JAZZ" (FTLOJ), founded in 1974. One of my first public performances was in 1976 when FTLOJ invited me (at 18!) to open for Louis Bellson's concert. So this group feels like HOME to me! Please join us for a beautiful sunset and cocktails by the pool with my jazz trio: Peter Supersano, piano; Joe McKenna, bass; and Steve Self, drums.

For the Love of Jazz is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)3 Nevada corporation formed in May of 1974 by a small group of jazz musicians and enthusiasts. These first members came together to develop opportunities to perform outside of the showroom big bands. They wanted to play their own charts and jam together, quite literally "for the love of jazz!" FTLOJ is cultivating a community appreciation and love of jazz by providing and promoting opportunities for our community to learn about, participate in, and listen to live performance and educational activities by local, regional and national jazz artists. FTLOJ also provides additional educational opportunities for area students and assistance to other organizations interested in providing jazz activities in our community.
