The Rubber Ducks are coming!!!
The annual Make-A-Wish Foundation community fundraiser will make a big splash this year when 10,000 rubber ducks get dumped into the Truckee River and race for the finish line - a $5 duck will get 10 lucky winners some amazing prizes!
Cami Thompson and her combo are performing their "Tribute to the Wonderful World of Disney" show -- musical fun for the whole family! -- around 5:00 (when the race ends but before the winners are announced.) The band includes John Gronberg on trumpet, Jim Garaventa on reeds, Tony Savage on drums, Peter Supersano on keyboards, and Joe McKenna on bass. All songs for the one-hour show have been uniquely arranged by Cami for her band, to show the beauty and diversity of Disney music, and demonstrate how many styles these songs can be played with - jazz, reggae, R&B, African, blues, and pop, for example. Singing along is GREATLY encouraged!
