The week before this live concert, I had just finished portraying Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun" at the Pinoeer Theater. The Nevada Opera Company production was a big success, with guest artist Broadway vet John Raitt (yep, Bonnie's dad), and many members of the huge cast were in the audience that night.
